By pleasantly_surprised
Replaced a dead Sony Xplod CDX-R3350 with this, chose it for its low price, 20 Watt RMS / channel, parametric equalizer. Massive upgrade. Sound is clear at much higher volumes with the same speakers, but highs, mids and lows noticeably muddle together in comparison. In my old, loud car this isn't an issue. Parametric EQ a little weird to use, but 3-band EQ is also available and very easy to change on the fly. Build is very solid, and doesn't feel or look cheap, faceplate and buttons don't rattle. The interface is not perfect, but pretty intuitive, wish the long button press didn't take as long. Operating unit by feel with the occasional glance is quite easy to do.
No idea how well it drives a sub as I don't have one. Don't listen to the radio so no comment there. I get a bit of a hiss at high volumes on the aux line, but that might be my player. At the price I feel the level of the hiss is entirely acceptable and only noticeable if you're looking for it. But I remind, my car is loud and I'm not strictly speaking an audiophile.
Dimmer function on my unit causes a prominent high pitched whine, but the function can be turned off. Basically, instead of having one brightness for the day and one for night (activated by the headlights turning on) as the unit is designed, I have to use a single brightness level. Couldn't find anyone who had the same problem, support told me that it could only be caused by electrical noise on the lighting circuit of the car and turned me away. I don't really believe them, doesn't make sense to me as an EE. When I have some time I will disconnect the 'illumination' line and turn on the dimming function manually, see if it still causes a whine. Honestly, I don't feel like this is a huge deal, but a star off nonetheless.
Did much research before picking this unit, and knowing what I know now, might have instead picked the very similarly equipped Pioneer DEH-150MP despite its 14 Watt RMS / channel. Wish it had a USB and SD slot, specifically an SD slot that supported micro SDXC up to 128 GB through adapter. Wish it could read AAC & OGG. But hey, it was $55. Excluding budget, mostly CD-drive-less receivers from Pyle, Dual & Boss (whose build quality and longevity I do not trust), the JVC KD-R330 is flat out the cheapest option out there.

By ARJ
If you want to use the bluetooth function you have to buy an adapter that costs almost 4 times what I paid for the deck. I returned it before using it but beware if you buy this for the blue tooth function

By Patrick Szczypinski
Needed a head unit to replace the broken one in my '93 Caravan and didn't like the idea of spending more on the stereo than I paid for the car. It's not flashy - no multicolored lcd screen - which is good for an oem replacement and it's basic in its functionality. JVC in general has better reliability than the Dual head units (personal experience, I had one and one feature broke a month - usb, aux input, and then finally the sd card reader) so figured it was worth a shot over similarly priced units.
Couldn't be happier with the purchase. For the money, it'll do the job. Install was pretty smooth - I ended up getting the wiring manual for my car online and manually splicing all the connections. The car's old enough that a harness would have been overkill. I now have radio and the input jack so that I can listen to whatever I want for the trips to the bike trails.
