This is by far THE BEST sub you can buy next to the "Diamond D9". With incredible power handling this sub can take anything. The response is incredible and the sound is tight and crisp. The sub can go to frequency levels too low to hear and still wont distort. This is great for all you very specific and picky audiophiles like myself or for average kid looking for a lovely noise violation ticket and the tow that comes with it. This sub will make the ground shake and make your car seats into a massage chair. I would recommend this to the greatest audiophiles or to the average person looking to turn heads, make bets and collect the cash. BUY IT!

Bought 2 of these to replace some 12" alpine type-r's that I was not happy with in my 1.2 cubic ft per chamber slot port box. The r's would not go that low and didnt sound as good as they should in my small enclosure. I run a HF Brutus 1700 watt rms mono class D sub amp (3 amps total with mids and highs) 2 batteries, a 180 amp alternator, big 3, and Cadence 0 awg wire. I have built many systems. These Pioneer pro subs slam hard with this setup @ 1 ohm. The subs are under powered with this amp but still the rear view mirror is useless and I have to keep my moon roof open or I believe my front window will break in my Strat r/t at high volume levels lol. I have had type r's, various Kicker's and other subs in this box over the years and none sound as good as these Pioneers. A side note, the box is lined with 1/2" memory type foam and always has been. These may be the best subs available for space limited enclosures. I wish I would have found these before I bought the Type r's. If you like the type of bass that makes your nose itch and eyes blur you may want to look into these subs.

By Joey P. Hebert
This little beauty slams and it does it in only .8 cu feet. The new air suspension system is really innovative. I have a Sony XM-2002GTR which has 500watt rms at 4 ohms and its plenty. I put a 2 farad Power akoustic capacitor and used a 1/0 gauge amp kit. I also drilled holes in the heatsink and added an 85 cfm cooling fan to my amp and wide open my amp barely gets warm. I do suggest a 1.2 cu ft ported box though. The sealed box is great for small spaces but the speaker preforms better in the ported box. All in all i can shake the walls in my house with this one speaker.
